DETAILED ITINERARY OF 9 DAYS MASAI MARA, SERENGETI, NGORONGORO, TARANGIRE & AMBOSELI SAFARI – TANZANIA AND KENYA COMBINED SAFARI
DAY 1: NAIROBI- MASAI MARA
On arrival at Jomo International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, you will be picked by our representative – your safari driver guide and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve through the rift valley escarpment where you will have a stopover at the view point to enjoy the views of the escarpments.
Have another stopover at Narok for lunch and proceed to Masai Mara arriving in the afternoon for a game drive, then head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 Full Day Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will head out for a full day game drive in the plains Masai Mara together with your lunch box for your picnic lunch at the banks of Mara River.
While in the reserve, you will have ample time to explore the plains of Mara and encounter a number of animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, zebras, giraffes among others.
Optional activities
Hot air balloon safaris – this amazing activity offers you aerial views of Masai Mara and animals as you fly in the sky over the plains. This safari start as early as 5:30 am with pick up from your lodge, the balloon ride lasts for 1 hour and the flight is followed by a champaign bush breakfast toasting to life and the great experience.
Visit the Masai people – This experience is normally done in the afternoon, visit a village of the Maasai people to witness their amazing culture and traditions. You will take part in dancing and singing, preparing of the local cuisine and livestock rearing, milking among others.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and drive to Serengeti National Park via Isebania border with en-route game drive. Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at the lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Serengeti National Park covering 6,900 square miles is the most popular wildlife destination in Tanzania, the park’s plains stretch endless to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. The park is home to the Great Migration in which over 2 million wildebeests and hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes including abundant impalas and Thomson’s gazelles. Other animals in the park include big cats and large predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas among others.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Full day in Serengeti National Park, explore the park with morning and afternoon game drives with picnic lunch.
After breakfast, you will head to the park a full day game drive with your packed lunch box. During the game drive you will explore the endless plains of Serengeti and spot many animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes, cheetahs, African wild dogs among others.
Optional Activity – Hot air balloon ride, balloon safaris in Serengeti national park are romantic and evocative way of experiencing the wilderness of the park, as you fly gracefully and silently over the plains teeming with herds of wildlife in early morning. Your flight will last for 1 hour and followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
On the picnic lunch, you will enjoy wonderful scenery and you enjoy your meals.

Day 5 Serengeti – Ngorongoro
After breakfast with picnic lunch, you will go en-route game drive then leave Serengeti for Ngorongoro with a stop at Olduvai Gorge or Walkon mountain forest. Proceed to Ngorongoro, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Ngorongoro/Tarangire
After breakfast with your packed lunch box, you will depart for Ngorongoro crater for a full day game drive in the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is a huge caldera of 250 square kilometers and 600 meters deep, the crater is home to abundance of wildlife and is one of the natural great wonders in the world – referred to as the 8th wonder of the world and the EDEN of Africa.
During the game drive, you will explore the crater and spot a variety of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and many birds including flamingoes on lake Magadi found in the corner of the crater. Later in the afternoon, you will ascend and head the crater and drive to Tarangire National Park. Arrive in the evening and with en-route game drive, you will head to your lodge check in, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7 Tarangire –Amboseli
After breakfast, you check out of the lodge and with en-route game drive you will head to Amboseli National Park with border crossing at Isebania Border. Day 8 Explore Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will head to park for a full day of exploring. Amboseli National Park is renowned for its large herds of elephants and the scenic backdrop created by snow-capped peak of Mountain Kilimanjaro.
During the game drive, you will enjoy sights of many animals including large herds of elephants, crocodiles, mongoose, hyrax, dik – dik, lesser kudus, nocturnal porcupine among others. You will have picnic lunch and continue explore the park. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
