Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi impenetrable national park is the most famous wildlife destination in Uganda located in South Western Uganda best known for offering amazing gorilla trekking safaris, Bwindi forest host over 400 mountain gorillas recorded to be half of the world’s total population of mountain gorillas and the largest population of mountain gorillas found in one area.

Bwindi forest national park also hots about 350 species of birds including 23 Albertine Rift endemics and several wildlife species.

Bwindi impenetrable national park is divided into 4 sectors where gorilla trekking is carried out that is Buhoma sector, Nkuringo sector, Ruhija Sector and Rushaga sector.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth national park is the most popular wildlife destination in Uganda located in Western Uganda next to the Rwenzori Mountains, the park is a home to a variety of wildlife including 4 of the big 5 including elephants, lions, buffaloes and leopards. The par also hosts a huge population of birds including rare bird species.

Queen Elizabeth national park is divided into sections/regions including Kazinga Channel, Mweya Peninsula, Maramagambo forest, Kyambura gorge, Katwe explosion craters, Ishasha sector among others.

Queen Elizabeth national park is famously known for hosting a huge population of wildlife including tree climbing lions that are found only into areas in Africa and the second one is Lake Manyara national park found in Tanzania.

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Murchison national park formerly known as Kabalenga National park is another popular wildlife destination in Uganda lieing at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley in northwest Uganda, the park is the largest and oldest national park in Uganda gazetted as a game reserve in 1926.

Murchison Falls national park is named after Murchison Falls the most powerful falls in the world, these falls are the main attraction in Murchison falls national park and they are formed as the River Nile squeezes through an 8 meters wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the Devil’s cauldron crating a trademark rainbow.

Murchison Falls national park hots 76 species of mammals and 451 species of birds, some of the wildlife in Murchison Falls national park include giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, hartebeests, waterbucks, warthogs, oribis, Uganda kobs and grey duikers among others.

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Kibale National park also known as the Primate Capital of the World as it host a large population of chimpanzees, 13 primate species and 300 bird species. Chimpanzees are the major tourist attraction in Kibale forest national park , these chimpanzees are the closest living relatives to human.

Kibale forest national park is located in western Uganda in the heart of Tooro Kingdom in Fort Portal district, Kibale forest is best place in Uganda and Africa as well to encounter chimpanzees and other primates including black and white colobus monkeys, Red-tailed Monkey, L’Hoest Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Blue Monkeys and Grey Cheeked Mangabeys among others.

JINJA

Jinja is East Africa’s adrenaline capital where the adventure lives and stay, the beautiful town is situated a few kilometers east of Kampala with the source of the Nile – one of the world’s longest rivers as the major attraction.

On a Uganda safari visit to Jinja, visitors can enjoy white water rafting on the ile rapids and Kayaking. Other fun activities to do include bungee jumping ad quad biking along the Nile banks.

WHITE WATER RAFTING

CHIMPANZEE TREKKING

Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda is done in Kibale Forest National Park offering an opportunity to meet the chimpanzees – our closest relatives in their natural habitats. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the primate destination for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda, here you will also see other primates species including olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys among others.
