Daily Game Drives (Day and Night Game Drives)

The classic game drives remain a favorite for travelers to Masai Mara National Reserve, head out in the crisp morning air or just before sunset to meet the wildlife in their natural habitat. Your Maasai guide will unearth all the little secrets and stories of their homeland, tracking down and getting you up close to a wide variety of wildlife the area is known for, from the Big 5 to the smaller antelope and birdlife. After your many sightings, we have a stop somewhere special to enjoy a morning coffee or sundowners before heading back to the camp.

Hot Air Balloon Rides (With Bubbly Champagne Breakfast)

Hot air balloon rides are arguably the best perspective of East Africa from a bird’s eye view, this experience starts at the crack of dawn and remains one of the your fondest memories in Masai Mara National Reserve. Glide through the sky and watch the wildlife, or perhaps even the Great Migration, depending on when you visit, as they go about their business, blissfully unware of your presence. You conclude this experience on a high note, with an indulgent Champagne bush breakfast in the cool shade of a balanite tree to cheers to a spectacular start to your day.

A safari favorite, sundowners are when you sip your choice of drink in the bush watching the sun bid farewell to the day in a splendid display of color. Sundowners by Paradise Plains is set up on Leopard Hill, with views over the acacia – dotted savannah and its wildlife residents.

Culinary Delights (Excuiste Breakfast or Lunch in Bush)

Your food will taste even better when you enjoy it in the wide – open savannah with wildlife in your company. You will be surprised by setting up a feast in a special setting in the bush. If you are celebrating a special occasion, let us know in advance, we can go an extra mile to make it even more special and personalized.

Bird Watching (Over 500 recorded bird species in the Mara)

The Masai Mara is a world – class birding destination, with a checklist of more than 500 bird species, it is an excellent place to see savannah species, including heavyweights such as common ostrich, southern ground hill and the very localized Denham’s bustard among others.

Cultural Experiences (Maasai Cultural Immersion)

Kenya is well known for its vibrant local cultural of the Maasai Mara. Visit a local manyatta and learn about the extraordinary Maasai way of life, which has been little affected by modern influences. Barter for some beautiful Maasai beadwork and handicrafts

Location

Paradise Plains is situated a six – hour drive from Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi. There are secluded flights that take about 45 minutes. Pickups will be from Musiara Airstrip, situated in the middle of an unscathed and virgin bush of Masai Mara.
