Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Kenya Uganda Rwanda Safari from Nairobi City
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Masai Mara – Evening Game Drive
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve with a stop at the Rift Valley for scenic views of the escarpments and in Narok where you will meet the local people. Continue to the reserve arriving in time for lunch and short rest.
Later in the afternoon you will go on a game drive exploring the savannah plains of Masai Mara and enjoying incredible sightings of several wildlife species including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles among others.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive – Hot Air Balloon
Wake up early for breakfast, head out for a full day game drive with an optional hot air balloon flight on which you will enjoy aerial views of Masai Mara’s landscape and its wildlife. This thrilling Masai Mara safari experience concludes with a champagne breakfast set under an acacia tree.
During the game drives you will explore the different regions of Masai Mara National Reserve and you will see several animals including prides of lions, herds of buffaloes and elephants, wildebeests, warthogs, gazelles, elands, giraffes, cheetahs, African wild dogs among others. Enjoy picnic lunch at one of the spots along Mara River, and continue with the game drive till sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Nairobi & Fly to Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast, bid farewell to your lodge, depart Masai Mara with an en-route game drive. Embark on a journey back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after lunch to catch your flight to Entebbe International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a journey of approximately 9-10 hours with a stop at the Equator Crossing for pictures and in Mbarara for lunch. Continue your journey with a drive through Kisoro green hills while enjoying the beautiful views. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge as you wait for dinner and spend the night.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking, in groups of 8 people you will head into the forest in search for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2-5 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. Spend one hour in their presence as you watch them play, feed and groom each other.
Return to your lodge, freshen up and enjoy a short rest. Late in the day you will head to the Batwa Village for a cultural experience, here you will be entertained by local dances and drama, witness their skilful hunting tactics, meet the elders and interact with them among others giving you a deeper insight into their lifestyle, customs and traditions. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Visit Dian Fossey Campus
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart for Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda with border crossing at Cyanika Border. After clearing with the immigration authorities, proceed to Volcanoes National Park with en-route and a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Dian Fossey Campus where you will learn about the conservation and protection of mountain gorillas, the history of Dian Fossey, her time in the forest as she studied mountain gorillas among others. After this immersive experience you will head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Trekking – Departure
After breakfast you will head to Volcanoes National Park for a golden monkey trekking experience, join other visitors at the park headquarters for briefing and then head into the forest looking for golden monkeys found in the bamboo trees. Spend one hour in their presence as you watch them play, feed and groom each other.
Return to the lodge for lunch, later check and drive to Kigali City where you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
