The Giraffe Center is just around the corner, home to the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe. The center is open between 9 am – 5 pm, and gives visitors a chance to interact with the giraffes. Hiking

The Emakoko has an incredible location, with the Nairobi National Park on one side and the Kitengela conservation area on the other.

Embark on a nature walk or trail with great chances of spotting wildlife. With the Nairobi National Park on one side and the Kitengela Conservation Area on the other, it means that we have wide open spaces to enjoy and some of the nicest running routes in Nairobi. The lodge is surrounded by community grazing land which stretches over into the park. Here wildlife and domestic mingle together and walks amongst giraffes, eland, impala and gazelles are breathtaking.

Private Safari

A private safari at The Emakoko offers a unique safari stop-over experience in Nairobi. Our packages include accommodation, meals, drinks, activities and internal flights.

Game Drives

Go on game drives in Nairobi National Park in our safari vehicles and guided safari guides. Nairobi National Park is famous for its very healthy black rhino population and is renowned for very close encounters with lions.

Golfing

If you are looking to doing some moderate activity, certainly Kenya has some of the most beautiful golf courses, and perhaps some of the most challenging too. Depending on the day of the week and availability we can organize a round of golf at Karen Country Club for a two or a three ball. Otherwise golf on the Ngong Golf Course or Royal Nairobi Golf Club is also possible.

Getting to The Emakoko

The boutique safari lodge’s ideal position on the southern border of Nairobi National Park makes it easily accessible from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Wilson Airport. Road transfers to the lodge take approximately 45 minutes but tend to be rather exciting with great chances of spotting wildlife.

A helicopter transfer from Nairobi to The Emakoko is also available on request.
