Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Luxury Rwanda Primates Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Rwanda
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your luxury hotel in Kigali – the capital of Rwanda for check-in and relaxation.

Day 2: Kigali City Experience
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast as you prepared for a Kigali City Experience, visiting the key cultural and highlights of Kigali City such as Kigali Genocide Memorial, local artisan markets and selected culinary experiences.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, depart Kigali for Nyungwe Forest National Park – the primate haven of Rwanda with a scenic countryside views along the way. En-route, enjoy cultural stops and lunch before continuing to your lodge for check-in and evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience
Wake up early for breakfast at your lodge and be transferred to the Park Headquarters for briefing about the safe measures while in the forest, with armed ranger guide you will head into the forest in search for chimpanzees. The trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night, spend an hour watching the chimpanzees play, feed and groom each other while taking beautiful photos and videos.
After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation and optional activities on offer. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Waterfall Hike Experience in Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast at the lodge, you will head back to Nyungwe Forest National Park for a guided waterfall hiking experience, through the lush Nyungwe Forest Trails. This scenic walk offers beautiful rainforest views, birdlife and a visit to one of the beautiful hidden waterfalls of Nyungwe Forest.
After this incredibly thrilling experience, return to your lodge for relaxation and leisure.

Day 6: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart Nyungwe Forest for Volcanoes National Park – home to mountain gorillas with en-route lunch. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, check in and spend the rest of the day at rest as you prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Day 7: First Gorilla Trekking Experience
Today you will have your first encounter with mountain gorillas in the misty forests of Volcanoes National Park. Wake up early, enjoy breakfast and drive to the park headquarters in Kinigi, a senior ranger guide will take you through rules and regulation to follow while in the forest and present of the gorillas. With armed ranger guides, head into the forest in groups of 8 people in search for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2-4 hours or more with one hour of being in presence of the gorillas, observe their behavior, watch them play and groom each other.
After the trek, return to the lodge for leisure and relaxation.

Day 8: Second Gorilla Trekking Experience
Today you will enjoy a second gorilla trekking experience allowing for completely different gorilla family encounter in the misty forests of Volcanoes National Park. This trek gives you a chance to witness the similarities and differences of gorilla families in Rwanda.
After this amazing experience, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Return to Kigali
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali. Depending on timing, you can enjoy optional visits and shopping can be arranged before check-in at the hotel.
