Experience the best of Semuliki National Park on this 3 Days Semiliki Safari. Semuliki National Park is one of the least visited national parks in Uganda rich with biodiversity. This beautiful park is found in Bwamba County in Western Uganda in Bundibugyo district just near Fort Portal Town.
Semuliki National Park has an area of 220 square kilometers, harboring an extension of Congo’s Ituri rainforest. The park is home to around 52 species of mammals, 300 recorded tree species, 374 butterfly species and over 400 bird species that is why it is called the “True Birder’s Haven”
On the Semuliki Safari you will see several wildlife species including hyenas, white tailed and slender mongoose, cape buffaloes, leopards, elephants, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys among others.

Day 3: Departure
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Semuliki National Park – Night Game Drive
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, you will be picked up by our Driver – Guide and embark on a journey to Semuliki National Park. It is a journey of approximately 7-8 hours with a stop in Kayabwe for pictures at the Equator Crossing and lunch in Mbarara. Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge and have a short rest. Later, go out for a night game drive through the park offering an opportunity to see several nocturnal animals like bush babies and Pottos among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore Semuliki (Visit Sempaya Hot Springs, Waterfalls, Chimpanzee Trekking and a Game Drive”
After breakfast at the lodge, set out for a visit to the Sempaya Hot Springs which are the most attention grabbing attraction in Semuliki National Park. these springs have a geyser that shoots up from the 8 meters hole, and the water is at a high temperature. The most interesting part about these hot springs is that the female one can boil eggs and matooke and be re
ady for eating in a few minutes. The Sempaya Hot Springs is in fact the largest hot spring in Uganda.
Along the same trail of the hot springs, you will be able to see a number of bird such as the Blue breasted Kingsher and various primates such as the red tailed monkeys, and the grey cheeked mangabey. Later proceed to Mungilo waterfall here you will have an opportunity to seeing a number of colorful birds and it is a great experience for a birder. Also, there is an opportunity of seeing chimpanzees (the best time to see them is in the morning or evening as they tend to hide during day).
Later return to the lodge for lunch, unwind around the swimming pool. In the evening you will go for a game drive, expect to see a wide range of wildlife including buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, lions and leopards among others. Also, visit the River Semuliki where you will see crocodiles and hippos. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure
Enjoy a tasty breakfast at the lodge, check out and start your journey to Kampala with a stop in Mbarara for lunch. Arrive in Kampala in the evening, you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
