Final Considerations About Wilderness Mara.

  • Can’t – miss: The 360 – degree wildlife. The choice of game viewing sites on your doorstep is superb
  • Best for: Couples, groups and solo wildlife fanatics looking for creature comforts between game drives
  • Camp’s Location: Situated beside the Mara River in the Mara Triangle – the quieter southwestern section of Maasai Mara National Reserve. The camp offers excellent year – round game viewing. During the Great Migration (roughly July to October), the Mara Triangle becomes a vital crossing point for millions of wildebeests, zebra and plains game migrating from Tanzania’s Serengeti in search of fresh grazing and water. Separately managed by the Mara Conservancy, the Mara Triangle has a stricter vehicle controls than the main reserve, making for a calmer, more intimate safari experience.
  • Family friendly – Children are welcome, and the family two – bedroom tent can sleep five at a push. But the camp is unfenced plus its serene vibe won’t suit noisy little ones.
  • Accessibility – The camp is not suitable for wheelchair users, as guests need to be able to climb in and out of light aircraft and safari vehicles and navigate uneven terrain. Some tents have ramp access, but the pool area is accessed via steps. Guests with reduced mobility should request tent six, which is closest to communal facilities.
